Great service and great products - the kayaks arrived quickly a
We shopped around when looking for new kayaks and the Quest Single 1 seemed to fit the bill, both in requirements and reviews, so we ordered two. The order process was swift and easy, as was the delivery, which arrived 3 days after placing the order. We have had them a couple of weeks and have been out on the water (coastal and exploring the various estuaries in Cornwall) about 6 times. The kayaks are very fit for purpose, comfortable too, which has extended our average time on the water to 5 hours per trip. They are quite robust and not too heavy to load onto the roof of our SUV. Having found a suitable technique on the internet and being over 60, I can now load and unload them by myself. Great purchase and just in time for a stellar summer on the water 😊
I recently purchased both a Quest and a Neptune kayak from Cambridge Kayaks. Unfortunately, the Neptune arrived with some damage. However, after contacting Cambridge Kayaks, they immediately arranged for the damaged kayak to be collected and, as soon as it had been received back, they promptly sent out a replacement. Their customer service throughout was excellent—friendly, helpful and efficient.
I also purchased the Heavy Duty Double Freestanding 2-Tier Kayak Rack. The only reason I'm giving four rather than five stars is that it didn't include any assembly instructions. I'm hoping to find these online, and I'm confident that if I give Cambridge Kayaks a call, they'll happily send me a copy.
Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchases and, most importantly, with the way Cambridge Kayaks dealt with the issue. It's reassuring to know that if something does go wrong, they resolve it quickly and professionally. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and would happily buy from them again.
It’s just brilliant, at least for a first kayak or even buy once type of kayak, it’s stable, it’s quick, great fun on rivers, I used it on the jubilee and Thames near Windsor. Comes with great starter paddle which you can keep as a spare or emergency one, but I’d recommend upgrading because the blades have a little flex, you can feel it after a while…
Kayak build is solid.cant fault it… I pop it on the trolly and walk it to the river about 10/15 mins walk, the weight of the kayak on a trolly doesn’t even bother me,
The storage box is real good, has a good waterproof seal, I flipped my kayak deliberately to practice reversing it and getting back on it… my phone was in the water proof box (wasn’t planned I forgot it was there) and when I got back on the kayak popped it open, my phone was dry, no water got in…
Bungee ropes are strong,
However, you need to tighten the screws on all the clips and clamps, they will become loose, especially those that hold the seat in place…
The seat is good, it’s my first so I shouldn’t make a comment that it hurts my bum after an hour or two because I’ve never kayaked before so I’m not used to sitting in that position for long hours, but I might look to add a little more padding,
Colours of these kayaks are
More vivid in person, I got the red one and my nephew got the green one… bit look stunning…
You can’t go wrong with these, as your first or you just want one that you don’t need later upgrade, you go wrong with the quest… super stable, good speed, great river fun…
Was sceptical as thought it may be some cheap thin kayak. Was wrong, fitting my motor mount and all accessories was easy as it is a good quality thick plastic kayak. It's not like the American ones you see on YouTube, but it's also not thousands like them. I fit a motor and all accessories and it handles them fine. Over the moon with it.
I generally use Sit on Top Kayaks due to my knee replacement and ability to get inside a Sit Inside Kayak.
My wife bought me this after watching the Product video on the website.
Outstanding! I took it out yesterday and the stability and manouverability is fantastic. Cockpit is a great size and moves through the water a lot better than my Quest +1.
Little heavier and harder to get on the roof of my van, but that's a me problem.
I cannot wait to go camping with this Kayak, lots of space within the front and back storage hatches!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️easily!
Took prompt delivery of my Zander. New to kayaking and took it on my local branch of canal. Very stable and comfortable. Looking forward to some lakes and coastal jaunts
I purchased the Quest +1 last weekend and went on Rudyard Lake and then 8 miles down the canal.
The lake was windy and slightly choppy water! It handles well although it felt difficult this was down to the weather. It didnt let anybwater over into the back storage well.
The canal day was great weather and handles well as advertised! There is a review stating its hard to balance on this kayak, i dont personally think thats the Kayak?
I do find it slight harder to paddle than my other kayak but not enough to not do a long few days out in it.
The scupper plugs pull out like they do on the product video, which is a bonus when you are out on the water and realise you need them out!
I am 100kg and the kayak handles my weight well and have room for some kit for camping! Plenty of room for my kit and equipment.
For its size it is light and built to last, which wouod make it easy for loading on to a van or car in your own without making a mess of your paint work!
The product video shows this product well!
Overall, i give this Kayak ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️'s!
I absolutely love my Kayak and accessories, the customer service and delivery were faultless. Would recommend!
(I also like the fact there are no discount codes so everyone gets the best deal)
Bought my kayak late last year but first chance to go out on it today. 1.5 hours on Loch Lomond. The kayak glides perfectly and the seat is comfortable with extra storage on the back of it too. The storage compartment was very handy. Choosing the kayak was easy the videos helped. I did have a question and I called and Richard was a great help. Was so comforting knowing that the company was just at the other end of the phone which I felt was a fantastic service. I also bought kayak straps and they worked a treat! Just to now order the kayak trolley which will be a great addition for ease of use to transport to and from the car.
I am very please with this purchase - the option to pay monthly with Klarna was also available and made the transactions easy! - very happy!!
