It’s just brilliant, at least for a first kayak or even buy once type of kayak, it’s stable, it’s quick, great fun on rivers, I used it on the jubilee and Thames near Windsor. Comes with great starter paddle which you can keep as a spare or emergency one, but I’d recommend upgrading because the blades have a little flex, you can feel it after a while…
Kayak build is solid.cant fault it… I pop it on the trolly and walk it to the river about 10/15 mins walk, the weight of the kayak on a trolly doesn’t even bother me,
The storage box is real good, has a good waterproof seal, I flipped my kayak deliberately to practice reversing it and getting back on it… my phone was in the water proof box (wasn’t planned I forgot it was there) and when I got back on the kayak popped it open, my phone was dry, no water got in…
Bungee ropes are strong,
However, you need to tighten the screws on all the clips and clamps, they will become loose, especially those that hold the seat in place…
The seat is good, it’s my first so I shouldn’t make a comment that it hurts my bum after an hour or two because I’ve never kayaked before so I’m not used to sitting in that position for long hours, but I might look to add a little more padding,
Colours of these kayaks are
More vivid in person, I got the red one and my nephew got the green one… bit look stunning…
You can’t go wrong with these, as your first or you just want one that you don’t need later upgrade, you go wrong with the quest… super stable, good speed, great river fun…
